Project Steering Committee (PSC)
The Project Steering Committee formed by representatives of related ministries and other stakeholders ensures overall project management and coordinates interaction between the ministries of the participating countries.
- PSC is established by the ministries of environment and natural resources of the participating countries (Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Armenia).
- PSC incorporates directors of the sub‐regional centers, representatives of UNIDO, ministries of energy and public health of the participating countries, key project partners and stakeholders, such as government authorities, educational and scientific organizations, refrigeration equipment disposal and waste treatment facilities, PCB-containing equipment owners, and POP landfills.
- To coordinate and approve the project activities with other GEF-financed projects implemented in the same countries, representatives of other implementing agencies may be involved in PSC.
- Representatives of the ministries of environment and natural resources of the participating countries will chair the PSC meetings alternatively.
